Description

An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in ink on watercolor paper, no color anywhere. The tapisserie dial and octagonal bezel, hex screws included, built entirely from line work, hatching doing the job color would normally do to separate the brushed bezel from the waffle-textured dial underneath. It's the watch that invented the category the rest of this collection keeps returning to, so drawing it without a single shade of color is its own kind of tribute: the geometry carries the whole piece on its own. Part of the Face Me series, where the timepiece gets the same attention as a portrait.
